PYLA Installation



  1. Install Python package as usual. (http://www.python.org)

  2. Install the Redmon port monitor. (http://www.cs.wisc.edu/~ghost/redmon/)

  3. Create a shortcut on your desktop like the following (sorry for italian snapshots).






  1. Now you can install the Windows fax printer. You have to use 'Apple laser writer 12/600' driver. The port must be a Redmon's redirected port.






  1. Now enter in your new printer's properties and edit the redirected port. Set the options like the following.



  1. Start up Pyla and configure its settings.

Notify options:


None: Mail notify is disabled.

Done: Mail notify happens either on succesful jobs and on failed ones.

Requeued: Mail notify happens like in Done option and when the job gets requeued too.


Miscellaneous:


Archive: Enables archiving support on the server.

Admin: Enable superuser mode.

Debug: Enable debbugging.

Send cover as document: Enable cover archive workaround.
